It always bothered me that Sega never released a device to play my Game Gear games on my Genesis or Master System through my TV. Nintendo accomplished it just fine with the Super Game Boy, which allowed me to play my Game Boy games on my SNES.
The Sonic Gems collection on Game Cube (seen here) and PS2 (not Dreamcast) featured all the Sonic games from Game Gear so at least they did that and thankfully, they run and look exactly like the Game Gear versions.
